Recruitment Overview

The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This opportunity is part of a purely time-bound research project titled "Development of an optimized and efficient lithium-ion battery thermal management system for electric vehicles utilizing phase change material and metal foam composites".

Note on Fellowship: If a candidate does not have a valid GATE/NET score, they may still be selected but will receive a lower remuneration as per SERB/IIT Patna norms. Candidates with GATE/NET scores are preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Option 1: First class graduate in B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or allied branches with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks.
• Option 2: M.Tech/M.E/M.Sc. in Relevant Disciplines (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Allied Branches/Physics/Chemistry) with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks.

Preferred Skills

• Background in Molecular Simulations, Machine Learning, Quantum Chemistry, or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Experience in coding and Linux environment.
• Valid GATE/NET Score (Preferred).

Age Limit

• For B.Tech/B.E. holders: Maximum 28 years.
• For M.Tech/M.E/M.Sc. holders: Maximum 32 years.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwD as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on academic merit and application details.
2. Written Test / Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Online or Offline Written Test/Interview.
3. Final Selection: Based on performance in the test/interview.

Note: No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
