Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E
Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for the following purely contract-basis assignment under the research project on "Mobile-GIS application and web-GIS based Himachal Landslide Information System HIMLIS" at NIT Hamirpur sponsored/funded by H.P. Council for Science Technology, and Environment (HIMCOSTE), Shimla (purely on Temporary Basis with Consolidated Salary) with the details envisaged below:
1. Position: Project Associate
2. No of Post: 01
3. Qualifications Essential: First class with not less than 60% aggregate or not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in B.Tech Civil Engineering. Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro based Machine learning and Deep learning tools.
4. Desirable: M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering
5. Emoluments: Rs. 15.000/- per month (Consolidated)
6. Nature of Appointments: The post is purely on a contract basis with no other benefits associated with it.
7. Duration: The duration of the above posts will be 3 months only which may be extended to six months subject to the funds availability, satisfactory performance and provisions under the Project.

Selection Procedure
The shortlisted candidates will be notified by E-Mail. No separate letter will be issued to the shortlisted candidates for appearing in further selection process. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.

The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur or NITH) is a public engineering college located in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. NIT Hamirpur offers a comprehensive curriculum for undergraduate, graduate and doctorate studies in various fields of engineering, pure sciences and humanities.
The institute came into existence on 7th, August 1986 as Regional Engineering College, Hamirpur. It was a joint enterprise of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The classes commenced at Government Polytechnic College, Hamirpur as REC Hamirpur did not have a campus initially. The Institute has following departments, Civil Engineering, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, department of Architecture, Chemical Engineering department. The Institute offers undergraduate courses, graduate and Ph.D programs.
On 26 June 2002, REC Hamirpur was awarded the status of deemed university and upgraded into a National Institute of Technology. NIT Hamirpur has been ranked as best NIT in terms of infrastructure by the World Bank in 2007.
