Applications are invited in the prescribed format (Online application) for the following temporary contract positions for our ad-hoc research projects at the Department of Clinical Virology, SVIMS, Tirupati. 1. Name of the post: Laboratory Assistant/ Research Assistant 2. Number of posts: 01 3. Emoluments: Rs.30,000/- 4. Essential Qualification: Post graduate degree in Virology/Microbiology/Biotechnology 5. Desirable: (1) Work experience in diagnostic laboratory/Cell Culture/ ELISA /PCR/sequencing. (2) Knowledge of computer application/report preparation. (3) Good English speaking and writing skills. (4) The candidate should be willing to travel occasionally to interact with PHC/CHC staff and collect field samples. 6. Name of Project: ''Strengthening of SVIMS as a Regional coordination center under the Intersectoral coordination programme'' NCDC Zoonotic Disease project

Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) is a Medical Institute under State Legislature Act and a specialty hospital in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
SVIMS was conceived on the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi and was created by an act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature. The foundation stone was laid on 18 April 1986 by N. T. Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The hospital started functioning from 2 February 1993 and later became a Medical Institute under State Legislature Act in 1995.
