Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for the Research Intern - 01 (One) to work in research project titled "Bacteriophages and their products for controlling the biofilms of drug resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae" sponsored by the Science & Engineering Rescarch Board (SERB) - DST, Govt. of India under the Core Research Grant (CRG) scheme under the supervision of Dr. Ashwini Chauhan (Principal Investigator), Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, Tripura University (A Central University), Tripura, India.

3. Minimum/ Essential Qualification: 3/4th year students in Bachelor's degree (4-year professional degree, min. 18 credits of research) OR First/Second year students in Master's degree in relevant disciplines of life sciences (Biotechnology/AMicrobiology, etc.)

4. Preferred Qualifications: Good academic record Previous internship experience/experience of working in research project. Recommendation letter from a referee to be send at [email protected]

5. Job Description: Applying basic microbiological understanding and experimental techniques to complete short-term internship project. Responsibilities: Experimental Data Collection, Weekly-Lab Presentations, report/presentation of internship outcomes. The candidate selected will be offered to continue the work as part of their thesis/ project, in their final y ear, subject to performance review.

6. Duration of Project: 2 months (duration can be flexible in view of COVID-19 impact on academic calendars)

7. Emoluments: Rs 5000/month (Consolidated) along with certificate/Letter of Recommendation
