About Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is a premier state government body established via Government Order on 2 December 2008. It is dedicated to conducting the selection process in a transparent and efficient manner for various non-gazetted posts within the Uttar Pradesh Police. As the central authority for UPPRPB recruitment, the board ensures the unhindered process of promotion for police personnel. All procedures concerning recruitment and promotion are executed strictly within the prescribed time frame, adhering to relevant rules and regulations to uphold the integrity of government jobs in the state.
Headed by the Director General (DG)/Chairman, the board oversees all operational activities. Its administrative framework includes two ADGs, one serving as the Member and the other as the Secretary. The organizational structure further comprises the Superintendent of Police, Joint Secretary (Finance), Additional Superintendents of Police, Deputy Superintendents of Police, and various non-gazetted officials.
