Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Invites Application for Senior Technical Assistant Recruitment 2022

3. Educational Qualification: First class cin Engineering / Computer applications with and 6 years of experience in the relevant field OR First Class Degree in Computer Science / Electronics / IT/ Computer applications or relevant domain and 6 years of experience in the relevant field OR Graduate with first class and DOEACC ‘B’ Level with 2 years of experience in the relevant field

4. Desired Skill Set:  Advanced knowledge on Windows and Linux Operating Systems, Computer Networking (WAN, LAN and WLAN), Hardware, and Networking protocols. Strong knowledge on IT operations and best practices, including security, backup, e-mail, DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLAN, Firewall, NAT, IPv4 and IPv6. Strong knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues. Experience with scripting, monitoring tools and automation tools. Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent. System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are preferred.

5. Job Profile: Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, virtualization, routers, switches, firewalls, printers and security updates. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. Monitoring system and network performance and troubleshooting issues. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.

3. Educational Qualification:  First class Diploma in Engineering / Computer applications with and 6 years of experience in the relevant field OR First Class Degree in Computer Science / Electronics / IT/ Computer applications or relevant domain and 6 years of experience in the relevant field OR Graduate with first class and DOEACC ‘B’ Level with 2 years of experience in the relevant field

4. Desired Skill Set:  Proven experience in a network administrator role Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting and problem resolution is desired Ability to set up and configure server hardware Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control and monitoring of server infrastructure Good in organizing, prioritizing and multitasking Knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training Familiar with backup and recovery software and methodologies

5. Job Profile: Provide network support for around 400 LAN Network Points including crimping, wiring etc. Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and intranet systems. Identify and solve issues related to computer networks and systems Install and maintain network hardware and software with various Operating Systems including   Windows, Linux and Unix Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.

a. Define network policies and procedures. Troubleshooting the network issues and ensure network connectivity throughout. Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts. Design, deploy, administer and troubleshoot the wireless infrastructure and supporting systems. Contribution to sessions on Network Modules for courses offered by C-DAC

Selection Procedure

1. MTS Below Group A Scientific and Technical (S & T) posts Selection processes viz. Written Test - The test will be of objective type covering English, Reasoning, Numerical Ability & Domain Knowledge, etc. or to specific functions/disciplines /Interview or as deemed fit by the management, will be deployed. Project Engineer : Screening, Written test (Technical) and Interview(s) Senior Project Engineer: Screening, Written Test  and Interview(s) C-DAC Adjunct Engineer : Screening and Interview(s)

2. The qualification and experience prescribed are the minimum requirements and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates entitled to be called for written test and / or selection processes. There will be an initial screening based on the academic records and other parameters given in the on-line application and for further selection process.

3. The management reserves the right to increase the minimum eligibility criteria/cut off limits, in the event of the number of applicants are more, for any post(s), at its discretion. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic credentials, experience profile, written test marks (if any), performance in the test and such other selection processes/parameters, as adopted and deemed fit by management.

4. Mere fulfillment of the below mentioned qualifications etc., does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Organization to call all the candidates to participate in selection process.

5. The Organization may restrict the number of candidates to be called to participate in selection process to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

6. The candidates should, therefore, furnish all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed.Management reserves the right to change/modify the selection process at any time, during the process, at its discretion. The decision of the management will be final and binding.
