Online applications are invited for the post of a Project Associate - (One-JRF) in a SERB funded research project. 1. Title of the project: Roles for small heat shock proteins in protective protein aggregation and proteome protection 2. Post Name: Project Associate 3. No of Post: 01 4. Short description of the research project: Proper maintenance of cellular proteome is essential for cell viability. Protein quality control systems monitor and protect the cellular proteomes. Molecular chaperones or heat shock proteins (HSPs) play important roles in maintaining and protecting the cellular protein homeostasis (proteostasis). 5. Minimum Qualifications: MSc / MTech in related branch of life Sciences with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates with NET/GATE qualification and/or experience in working with model organisms, molecular biology and biochemical methods will be given preference in shortlisting for interview. 6. Fellowship: Maximum Rs. 31,000/- per month as per guidelines (subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria). 7. Duration: Initially for one year with possibility of extension up to 3 years. The position may be converted to a full time Ph.D. position, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria and satisfactory performance.

Selection Procedure
1. Merely fulfilling the eligibility requirement does not guarantee shortlisting for interview; additional criteria may be imposed for shortlisting
2. The shortlisted candidates will only be informed about the date and time of the online interview. (No information or communication will be made with candidates who are not shortlisted.)
3. Details of online interview: The interview will be held online via Webex/Google Meet; date and time of the interview along with the meeting link will be shared by email to only shortlisted candidates
