IIT Mandi Invites Application for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor Recruitment 2022

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor Grade-I & Grade-II and Associate Professor in the School of Management in the following specific areas.

1. Position: Associate Professor

2. Qualification: 

a) Applicants should have a passion for teaching, should be exceptionally motivated, and should have an established record of high-quality research. IIT Mandi promotes an interdisciplinary culture and faculty members can collaborate with Institute faculty in other areas of Engineering, Basic Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences. Also, with its location in the Himalayas, IIT Mandi provides unique opportunities for research on socially-relevant technologies for the Himalayan region.

b) Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to make relevant intellectual contribution to experienced and potential managers through teaching, training, research and published work. Candidates should have a strong academic background and understanding of current developments in the related field. Faculty members are expected to carry out research, design and teach courses, engage in institution development and conduct training program and undertake consultancy.

3. Scales of Pay: 

a) Pay Level as per 07th CPC - Level 13A2, Cell 1

b) Starting Basic Pay as per 07th CPC - Rs. 1,39,600/-

1. Position: Assistant Professor Grade-I & Grade-II

2. Qualification:

c) A Ph.D. degree is necessary for a faculty position at IIT Mandi. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis recently or are close to completing their Ph.D. degree may also apply for the post of Assistant Professor Grade-II.

3. Scales of Pay: 

a) Level 12, Cell 1 Rs. 1,01,500/-

b) Level 10, Cell 14 Rs. 84,700/-

c) Level 11, Cell 10 Rs. 89,900/-

d) Level 11, Cell 11 Rs. 92,600/-
