Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for the promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country. Indian Nationals fulfilling following advertised criteria may attend walk-in Interviewsunder the funded project titled “Molecular and chemical ecology of the biological control of diamondback moth: revealing the significance of the infochemical communication between bottom-up and top-down factors” (Proj. code: 30818405) funded by Department of Biotechnology:

1. Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

2. Number of posts: 01

3. Minimum educational qualification: Masters or equivalent degreein any branch of lifesciences with CSIR-NET (Life Sciences)/ GATE (Life Sciences)/ CSIR-JRF/ DBT-JRF/ any other National Level Test conducted by CentralGovernment Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.

4. Experience: 2 years of research experience in: 1. Agriculturally important insects, their rearing, dissections and bioassays 2. Basic plant molecular biology and biochemistry experimentation 3. Gene cloning, recombinant expression and agro-infiltration 4. Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation 5. HPLC and LC-MS based analyses 6. Statistical analyses like ANOVA, correlation, etc.

5. Preference: Candidate having at least one peer reviewed international publication will be preferred.

6. Tenure of the appointment: Upto August 19, 2022 which may be extended subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent

7. Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 35,000/- + 24% HRA per month

3. Minimum educational qualification: Minimum passed with class 8th; Marathi, Hindi and English reading writing and communication skills.

4. Experience: Handling agriculturally important insects and Working in agricultural field.

5. Tenure of the appointment: Upto August 19, 2022 which may be extended subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent

6. Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 12,000/-per month
