Educational Qualification: M.Sc, M.Phil/Ph.D
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record for the following positions:
1. Post Name: Research Associate (RA)
2. No. of Post: 01
3. Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics / Chemistry / Material Science / Nanotechnology Candidates who have submitted their thesis may also apply.
4. Preference: Candidates with experience of working on following will be preferred: Energy materials; their synthesis, characterizations, and analysis (including electrochemical measurements, cyclic voltammetry etc.) [Note: Energy Materials implies photocatalysts, electrocatalysts, battery anode and cathode materials etc.]
5. Job requirements Incumbent is expected to design and develop novel active materials including composites for one or more energy applications.
6. Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of six months, extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
7. Consolidated emoluments Rs. 55,000/- + 24% HRA per month Candidates who have submitted their thesis, but not completed defense (i.e. candidates without a provisional certificate of having qualified for the degree), will be designated ass Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and paid Rs. 40,000/- + 24% HRA per month till the time of submission of Provisional Ph.D. certificate.

5. Job requirements Incumbent is expected to carry out chemical synthesis and characterization of materials for battery applications
6. Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of six months, extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
7. Consolidated emoluments Rs. 30,000/- per month

Selection Procedure
1. List of shortlisted candidates for selection process (to be carried out preferably over video call) with details of date & time will be put up on the institute website below this advertisement and the shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail only. 2. The prescribed educational qualification/s are bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be called for selection process. Where number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible to carry out selection process for all the candidates.
3. Based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Project Investigator may restrict the number of candidates to be called for the selection process to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration qualification and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
