Applications are invited from the citizens of India for Research Associate position in the DST-SERB sponsored project undertaken under the Department of Chemical Sciences, IISER Kolkata. This temporary position is for a period of 6 months till the completion of the project. The requisite qualification, experience, etc. are given below:

3. Job description: The Research Associate will be involved in synthesis of alloy nanostructures and evaluating their electrocatalytic performance. The candidate will actively participate in the research work while remaining involved in all complimentary activities related to the project.

4. Eligibility: Motivated Ph.D. degree holders within the last two years or those who submitted their Ph.D. thesis recently, in the area of Solid State Chemistry / Materials Chemistry, having consistently good academic record can apply.

a. Prior experience in solution-based synthesis of monodispersed nanoparticles and characterization through powder X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and other related spectroscopic techniques are required. The candidate should be experienced in XRD simulations, microscopic analysis and operation of potentiostat. The candidate is expected to have at least 4 first author publications.

5. Salary: Rs. 47,000/- + 24% HRA per month.
