Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Who Can Apply
- Only retired police officers who served in the State Police cadre as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), Sub-Inspector (SI), or Inspector of Police are eligible.
- Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
- Must be able to speak, read and write Odia.
- Age must not exceed 65 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement.
Other Service Eligibility Conditions
- Must have an unblemished service record with no conviction in any criminal case.
- Must not have been awarded any major punishment in departmental proceedings during service career.
- No criminal case pending against the candidate at the time of application.
- Must not have more than one spouse living.
- Must have a Very Good / Good CCR / PAR for a continuous sixty months immediately before superannuation.
- Must have vacated any government quarter previously allotted.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection for engagement as Special Police Officer involves the following stages, scheduled on 23 October 2026 at 6:30 AM at The Reserve Police Ground, Baleshwar:
