Eligibility Criteria for Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification
- General/EWS/OBC Category: M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in ECE/EIE/EEE/ETC/EE or allied branches with 60% marks or CGPA 6.0/10.0; OR B.E./B.Tech or equivalent with 60% marks or CGPA 6.0/10.0; OR A valid GATE Score for Ph.D. candidates directly after B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc.
- SC/ST/PH Category: M.E./M.Tech or equivalent with 55% marks or CGPA 5.5/10.0; OR B.E./B.Tech or equivalent with 55% marks or CGPA 5.5/10.0; OR A valid GATE Score for Ph.D. candidates directly after B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc.
- Additional: Candidates who have submitted/defended PhD thesis in Microelectronics or allied subjects can also apply.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 28 years.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC (NCL); as per GoI norms for Women and other eligible categories.
Desirable Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics.
- Basic knowledge of device simulation.
Job Responsibilities
- Working on Modeling, Device Fabrication, and Characterizations (both material and device).
- Design and optimization of wide band-gap semiconductor (AlGaN) based UV photodetector devices.
- Growth optimization of device layers and material characterization.
- Implementation of device fabrication process flow and electrical/optical characterization.
