Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Field Assistant (Post 1)

  • Essential Qualification: +2 with science subjects / +2 Agriculture
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in laboratory / field works handling equipments
  • Desirable Qualification: Work experience in pathogen isolation, fungicide/pesticide applications etc.
  • Salary: ₹20,000/- Per Month + 10% HRA

Eligibility for Field Assistant (Post 2)

  • Essential Qualification: +2 with science subjects / +2 Agriculture
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in laboratory / field works
  • Desirable Qualification: Work experience in agriculture/horticulture crops
  • Salary: ₹15,000/- Per Month (consolidated)

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST & Women, 3 years for OBC (as on date of interview)

How to Apply

Interested candidates are required to appear for Walk-in Interview on 21 January 2026 at 11:00 AM.

  • Venue: ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Amartara Cottage, Shimla 171004
  • Bring duly filled application form (format given in the notification), original certificates, one set of photocopies and recent passport size photograph.
  • No TA/DA will be provided.
  • Candidates currently employed must bring No Objection Certificate (NOC) from present employer.

General Information / Instructions

  • The post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis till the termination of the project.
  • The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project and committee’s decision will be final.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview in person.
  • Only the candidates meeting essential qualification would be interviewed.
  • Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.
  • The selected candidate will be stationed at ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Amartara Cottage, Shimla 171004, but have to attend field trials conducted at various locations in Himachal Pradesh and other places as and when required.
  • Candidate should be willing to complete the allotted work in time. Work may be allotted based on the project requirements rather than the expertise of the candidate.
  • Candidate working elsewhere must bring NOC from their present Employer.
  • Bring original documents and 01 photocopy set along with duly filled application form given in Annexure at the time of interview.
