MS Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) Chennai is a Center for Research on Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development it was established in the year 1988 with the motto: "To enlist Science and Technology as Allies in the movement for Sustainable Development"
The aim of MS Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) Chennai is to accelerate use of Modern Science for Agricultural and Rural Development for development of technology to improve live, and livelihood of tribal and rural population.
The Center conduct various programmes to improve Science & Technology in following thematic areas such as: Coastal System Research, Biodiversity, Biotechnology, Ecotechnology, Food Security, Information, Education and Communication, Gender,from grass root level in the Institution.
